Healthcare Asia Awards 2023 Winner: De La Salle Medical And Health Sciences Institute

De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute emerges as the Public-Private Healthcare Partnership of the Year - Philippines at the Healthcare Asia Awards.

Dr Charles Yu, Vice Chancellor for Research, shares the success story of DLSMHSI Cavite-De La Salle COVID-19 Diagnostic Center (CDCDC) in an exclusive interview. The public-private partnership was established as the first diagnostic centre for COVID-19 in the country at the provincial level to increase Cavite's testing capacity. CDCDC has been instrumental in managing the pandemic, serving as a vaccination site for the biggest mass vaccination program in the country to date. As a result, CDCDC has been tagged as the “biggest testing laboratory in the country.” Additionally, CDCDC was the first subnational government-accredited laboratory in South Luzon, further reinforcing its commitment to providing quality healthcare services to the community.
