What to expect from the $20.2m Wentworth Health Service redevelopment?
The new hospital will feature an urgent care centre and a 19-bed inpatient unit.
The construction of Australia’s $20.2m (A$30m) Wentworth Health Service redevelopment is expected to be completed by 2025, with the hospital’s concrete slab now in place.
The new facility is being constructed on the site of the existing 80-year-old hospital and will be elevated above the current flood levee.
Once completed, the new hospital will feature a 19-bed inpatient unit, an urgent care centre, and a palliative care suite.
Meanwhile, the current hospital remains fully operational whilst main works are underway.
