Vietnam’s FV Hospital integrates laser beam tech for painless acupuncture

The treatment replaces the traditional way of using physical needles for acupuncture.

Vietnam’s FV Hospital has introduced laser acupuncture as a non-invasive alternative to the traditional method by delivering low-power laser light energy through the skin.

According to the hospital, the new service replaces physical needles with laser beams to accurately target and stimulate acupoints on the meridians, offering benefits such as reduced pain and risks for patients.

In line with this, the hospital offers laser acupuncture to patients with conditions related to pain and inflammation, as well as those suffering from neurological and functional disorders.

Moreover, the treatment can be accessed by elderly patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes.

Meanwhile, the hospital mentioned that patients with cancer, epilepsy, heart failure, hyperthyroidism, or those who have undergone treatment with immunosuppressants or high doses of corticosteroids are not recommended for laser acupuncture treatment.
