TVM Capital, 2 others invest in Alina Vision

The two other investors were The Fred Hollows Foundation and Rohto Pharmaceutical. 

Vietnam-based eye care business Aliva Vision, which operates two hospitals in the country obtained a significant equity investment from The Fred Hollows Foundation, Australia, Rohto Pharmaceutical, Japan, and TVM Capital Healthcare, Singapore and Dubai.

In a statement, TVM Capital Healthcare Managing Director Hoda Abou-Jamra said this is the company’s most substantial investment in the region.

“We look forward to working closely with the management team of Alina Vision to execute our mutually agreed expansion plans. This investment is testament to our impact investment strategy, which is to design, build, and scale promising healthcare solutions that address patients' needs and fill market gaps, ultimately contributing to equal access to quality healthcare," Jamra said.

Alina Vision, founded by The Fred Hollows Foundation, aims to bring affordable eye care to the most underserved communities through building a network of eye surgery centres.
