Thomson Medical forms juvenile developmental health unit

The new wholly-owned subsidiary will focus on children’s learning and development.

SGX-listed Thomson Medical Group has incorporated Thomson Kids Pte Ltd (TKPL) as its wholly-owned subsidiary in Singapore, a press release confirmed. The new wing focuses on children’s developmental health and well-being.

TKPL will start off with a learning centre, with structured educational programmes based on evidence-based interventions to help children with learning difficulties. This will let the children learn more effectively and better participate and progress in the mainstream education environment, the press release added.

A group of psychologists, speech and language therapists, and trained teachers are said to support the centre.

The incorporation is funded through internal resources and is not expected to have any impact on the earnings per share and net tangible assets per share of the group for the financial year ending 30 June 2021.
