Telerehabilitation systems market to grow by $532.9m through 2028

One key driver is a trend towards technological advancements.

The global telerehabilitation systems market is projected to rise by $532.9m until 2028 at a compound annual growth rate of 20%, said Technavio.

The sector’s expansion is attributed to an increasing incidence of chronic diseases and a trend towards technological advancements.

However, challenges such as data privacy concerns and the necessity for reliable internet and telecommunication networks persist for healthcare providers.

The integration of machine learning, predictive analytics, blockchain, IoT, augmented reality, and virtual reality is expected to drive the adoption of telehealth solutions, particularly telerehabilitation, over the forecast period.

“With the use of Industry 4.0, healthcare companies can effectively monitor patients in real-time and provide treatment remotely,” the report said.

Moreover, current telehealth policies support the use of various software and hardware technologies in applications such as orthopaedic rehabilitation, physical therapy, audiology, and psychology.
