Swedish firm acquires Singapore-based dialysis clinic chain ARCA

ARCA operates 18 clinics across Singapore and Malaysia.

Swedish renal care service company Diaverum has signed an agreement to acquire Advance Renal Care Asia (ARCA), an independent dialysis clinic chain in Singapore, according to a press release.

ARCA operates 14 dialysis clinics across Singapore and a further four in Malaysia, with around 760 patients in total and a turnover of $12.59m (S$16.9m) in 2019.

The transaction is expected to be completed during Q1 2021, when ARCA will be integrated into the group.

The acquisition will serve as the platform for further expansion in the South East Asian region, following the opening of Diaverum’s first clinics in China earlier in 2020, Diaverum said.
