Stage two of Manning Base Hospital redevelopment to begin in 2025

Detailed designs focus on inpatient accommodation, campus connectivity, and telehealth services.

Work on Stage 2 of Australia’s Manning Base Hospital redevelopment is scheduled to start in 2025, with early preparations underway.

According to the government, the detailed design for Stage 2 has been finalised, focusing on inpatient accommodation, improved campus connectivity, and extended telehealth services.

Early works will begin once a contractor is appointed, starting with the demolition of the hospital's existing administration building to make space for the new inpatient accommodation building.

“As the project progresses, there will be continuing opportunities for staff, clinicians and the broader community to have input in helping shape the redevelopment,” said Ryan Park, minister for Regional Health.
