Singapore and Philippines ink MOU on healthcare workforce cooperation

The partnership involves sharing best practices and support programmes for Filipino health workers.

Singapore’s Minister for Health (MOH), Ong Ye Kung, and Philippines Secretary of the Department of Migrant Workers, Hans Cacdac, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the recruitment of healthcare workers.

A key feature of this collaboration involves upholding fair treatment and improved welfare for Filipino healthcare workers in Singapore, as well as the sharing of best practices and support programmes to enhance their skills.

In an MOH statement, the partnership reaffirms the close working relationship between both countries and highlights a mutual commitment to expand and deepen their cooperative efforts.
