RSDH appoints Hong as group CEO

He has been acting as group CEO since September 2021.

Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care (RSDH) has appointed Peter Hong as its Group CEO from 1 January this year.

With 28 years of experience in the healthcare industry in Southeast Asia, Hong has worked for several large multinational companies in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors. He has also overseen RSDH and joint venture partner Ramsay Health Care's progress during the pandemic to drive business growth and operational excellence.

"Peter is a seasoned executive with a multicultural and multinational background," RSDH chair Martyn Roberts said. "He is well-acquainted with our operations and has demonstrated his ability to balance strategic operational decision-making and financial discipline. Peter's hands-on leadership approach is strongly aligned with the group's philosophy of 'people caring for people.' We look forward to strengthening our market position under his leadership."

Hong stepped down from the RSDH Board on accepting the GCEO role, and the board will appoint a new director in the coming weeks.
