Rainbow Children’s Medicare launches new hospital at Chennai

The “spoke hospital” offers pediatric and obstetrics services.

India-based Rainbow Children’s Medicare (RCML), a pediatric and obstetrics & gynaecology children’s care hospital chain, has inaugurated its latest 55-bed hospital in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, the healthcare company said in a press release.

Located at Old Mahabalipuram Road (Sholinganallur), the hospital has been envisaged as a “spoke hospital” providing pediatric and obstetrics services, including consultant-led 24/7 emergency care in paediatrics and obstetrics, outpatient services and level 3 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) services.

The hospital will transfer all complex patients requiring tertiary and quaternary care treatment to the Hub hospital at Guindy, the company said.

“In keeping with the brand ethos, the facility has been designed with a child-centric environment and soothing interiors to make it appealing to children,” said Dr. Ramesh Kancharla, Chairman & Managing Director of RCML.
