Philippines’ CGHMC launches new Robocare Surgical Centre
Its use of a dual console system allows collaboration during complex surgical procedures.
Chinese General Hospital and Medical Centre (CGHMC) has opened a new hub that utilises the da Vinci Xi Dual Console Robotic System for collaborative surgery.
The Robocare Surgical Centre’s dual console system enables two surgeons to work simultaneously in real-time for improved efficiency when performing complex procedures.
In line with this, the device features a 3-dimensional high-definition camera for true depth perception and clearer vision.
According to CGHMC, its adoption of robotic surgery allows patients benefits such as minimal scarring due to smaller incisions, reduced pain and blood loss, faster recovery, and shorter hospitalisation.
Moreover, the new surgical system can accommodate patients in need of colorectal, general, gynaecological, urological, and kidney and liver transplant procedures.
