Patient engagement technology market to rise by $37.4b through 2028

The sector is pivoting towards healthcare digitisation.

The global patient engagement technology market is projected to increase by $37.4b until 2028 at an estimated compound annual growth rate of over 20.56%, said Technavio.

The sector’s expansion is attributed to an increasing prevalence of chronic diseases, such as diabetes and arthritis.

Meanwhile, a shift towards digitisation has led to the adoption of technologies designed to enhance doctor-patient coordination, real-time access, and data security.

“AI technologies and cloud-based or on-premise software are essential components, enabling personalized care and real-time monitoring,” the report said.

Moreover, strict regulations are in place to ensure the security of patient information, whilst collaboration amongst healthcare professionals, physicians, and technologists drives the development of effective patient engagement solutions.

“These solutions aim to improve health literacy, care team coordination, and patient experience for various populations,” the report added.
