Operation Smile Philippines launches largest cleft care centre in Cebu

The 2,000 sqm centre has five operating rooms.

Operation Smile Philippines soft-launched the world's largest cleft care centre at Cebu City Memorial Medical Centre on 28 September.

Spanning 2,000 sqm, the Cebu Comprehensive Cleft Care Centre of Excellence features five operating rooms, 20 pre-operative beds, and 20 post-operative beds. 

It also has six post-anaesthesia beds, two dental chairs, four consultation rooms, and a speech therapy, psychosocial care, and medical education room.

Operation Smile Philippines said the centre aims to be a global hub for cleft care training, offering live-streamed surgeries, educational programmes, and hands-on training opportunities for medical professionals globally.
