NUHCS’s diagnostic vascular laboratory nabs IAC accreditation

The facility offers different procedures aimed towards identifying a range of vascular diseases.

The National University Heart Centre, Singapore (NUHCS) has announced that its diagnostic vascular laboratory (DVL) has received accreditation from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).

The laboratory has been accredited for its services, including peripheral arterial testing, extracranial cerebrovascular testing, and peripheral venous testing. 

These procedures are designed to identify a range of vascular conditions, including deep vein thrombosis, peripheral arterial disease, cerebrovascular disease, and abdominal aortic aneurysm.

According to the centre, the DVL scans over 7,000 cases annually and assists doctors in making clinical decisions in different fields such as vascular surgery, emergency medicine, orthopaedics, cardiothoracic surgery, and paediatrics.
