NTU Singapore and NHG launch centre to advance AI in healthcare

It will focus on elderly frailty, medical imaging, cancer screening, and mental health.

Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU Singapore) and the National Healthcare Group (NHG) have unveiled the Centre of AI in Medicine (C-AIM) to advance artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare.

C-AIM will focus on four key clinical domains, particularly elderly frailty, medical imaging, cancer screening, and mental health.

In line with this, the centre will conduct simulation and implementation studies, allowing healthcare professionals to rigorously test AI tools before deployment in real-world settings.

The centre was officially launched by the Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Digital Development and Information, Tan Kiat How.
