NCGM and HMU ink five-year MoU on joint clinical research
The agreement is set to run until 2029.
Japan’s National Centre for Global Health and Medicine (NCGM) and Vietnam’s Hanoi Medical University (HMU) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed towards strengthening collaboration through joint clinical research.
The agreement will run for five years until 2029 and is set to include faculty exchanges, joint meetings, information and materials sharing, research programme developments, and other cooperative activities.
Moreover, the institutions discussed the possibility of cooperation in the field of clinical trials, with both recognising the significance of enhancing emergency response capabilities by developing treatments and prevention methods.
In line with this, NCGM conducted a visit to HMU Hospital and Clinical Pharmacology Centre to gain insights into their partner’s experience in treating infectious diseases and infrastructure for conducting clinical trials.
