Mumtalakat and M42 break ground on post-acute rehabilitation facility

It will have a 100-bed capacity, with gyms and a hydrotherapy pool.

Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat) and Amana Healthcare, a subsidiary of the M42 group, are set to launch a specialised long-term care facility in Al Jasra, which will provide post-acute rehabilitation services.

The 15,000-square-metre facility is expected to commence operations in 2025 with a capacity of 100 beds. It will also feature two gyms, a hydrotherapy pool, two majlises, and landscaped gardens.

The facility’s groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Khalid Hussain Taqi, managing director of Local Impact Investments at Mumtalakat, and Mohamed AlSaati, acting CEO of M42 Bahrain and CEO of Amana Healthcare Bahrain.

A recruitment event will follow on 12 October in Manama to hire skilled local professionals for the facility.
