More sales jobs up for grabs in Hong Kong's life sciences sector

Salaries are also set to rise amidst stronger industry demand.

More sales and medical liaison jobs will be up for grabs in 2018 as a growing number of healthcare providers turn to Hong Kong as a gateway to the Mainland China’s vast clinical market, according to Hays Asia Salary Guide.

The report notes that the particular hiring trend, which was highlighted within the oncology sector, is set to extend till 2018 as more companies hunt for candidates with niche skill sets to support their respective drug pipelines.

Job seekers should therefore be quick to act as the stronger demand for market access talent in the health sector will also mean higher salary levels.

“Meanwhile, ever-increasing regulation and drug price controls will create further demand for candidates with experience in leading strategic product access plans and the implementation of reimbursement enlistment models,” the report adds.

The medical devices sector is also set for further expansion in 2018 particularly the in-vitro diagnostic sector. As such, recruiters are on the lookout for more application specialists and field service engineers for 2018.
