MakatiMed partners with Parkway Hospitals for physician exchange programme

The two hospitals will collaborate on patient consultations mainly via telemedicine.

Philippines' Makati Medical Center (MakatiMed) and Singapore’s Parkway Hospitals signed a global partnership to implement a physician exchange programme, where the two hospitals will collaborate on patient consultations.

In a statement, MakatiMed said it will work with Parkway Hospitals to undergo patient consultations, mainly through telemedicine, on a case-to-case basis.

“It also warrants procedure demonstrations and live surgery observation,” read the statement.

Parkway Hospitals will also supplement the education and training of MakatiMed’s healthcare staff, from its physicians and nurses to hospital administrators alike.

The training will also include Leadership and Management Development which allows for study visits and exchange programmes, and Benchmarking, which includes performance reviews.

Parkway Hospitals is under the wing of private network of hospitals, IHH Healthcare.
