KPJ Healthcare profit surges 62% YoY to $17.35m in Q2

Revenue for the period reached $212.54m.

KPJ Healthcare's profit after tax and minority interests (PATAMI) surged 62% to $17.35m (RM75.9m) in Q2 FY2024, up from $10.73m (RM46.9m) a year earlier.

Revenue for the period reached $212.54m (RM930.6m), an 18% increase from $179.54m (RM785.4m) in Q2 FY202. The group's gross profit also rose 25% to $92.07m (RM402.7m), driven by increased patient visits and better bed occupancy rates. The company’s focus on asset optimisation has also improved cost management.

Looking ahead, KPJ Healthcare said it will continue its strategic initiatives, including the development of Centres of Excellence and partnerships with the Ministry of Health Malaysia and the Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission, in preparation for the Malaysia International Healthcare (MIH) Megatrends 2024.
