Korea and Denmark share policies on elderly welfare

Both countries held a meeting to discuss future-oriented policies on elderly care.

Minister of Health and Welfare Cho KyooHong and his Denmark counterpart, Minister for Senior Citizens, Mette Kierkgaard, met to discuss policies on the welfare of the elderly in both countries.

This came as the two economies signed two deals regarding healthcare cooperation such as public health policy, long-term care, and dementia.

Minister Cho, KyooHong said their policies for the elderly are encouraging the aspiration to strengthen cooperation with Denmark based on this.

Minister Kierkgaard introduced Denmark’s policy for the elderly and expressed her hope to strengthen cooperation with Korea in various fields in the future.
