IHH Healthcare EBITDA grew 42% in Q3

Its EBITDA growth stemmed from double-digit growth in all home markets.

Private healthcare group, IHH Healthcare, said its EBITDA increased 42% YoY to RM1.4b in the third quarter of 2023 due to double-digit growth in its home markets. 

In a financial statement, its net operating income went up 17% YoY to RM368.9m in the same period. However, in the past nine months of the year, the net operating income fell 3% to RM1b. 

"The Group’s headline performance includes the application of the MFRS 129 accounting standard (Financial Reporting in Hyperinflationary Economies) relating to its entities in Türkiye," it said regarding the net operating incoem in 9M 2023.

In its outlook, the group seeks to grow and defray costs by expanding bed capacity by 33% across Malaysia, India, Hong Kong, Türkiye and Europe in the next five years.

It also seeks to drive inpatient volume growth facilities and upgrade equipment to provide better patient care, cater to demand and enhance revenue intensity.
