Health information exchange market to reach $3.9b by 2032

Thanks to advancements in healthcare IT.

The health information exchange market is projected to hit $3.9b by 2032 at a compound annual growth rate of 10.5%, according to Global Market Insights Inc.

The sector’s growth is attributed to advancements in healthcare IT, with the increasing adoption of electronic medical records and electronic health records driving its expansion.

“These records facilitate efficient communication and information sharing across healthcare systems, forming the foundation of Health Information Exchange platforms,” the report said.

In 2023, the directed exchange segment led the sector, generating revenues of $710.4m. This method, similar to secure email, enables straightforward information transfer between healthcare providers.

However, forecasts indicate that the hybrid model segment is set to take the lead, with projected revenues of $2.1b. This model combines centralised and decentralised methods, offering adaptability across various healthcare settings, such as hospitals and clinics.

The market is segmented by type, implementation model, setup type, application, solution, end-use, and region.
