Gov’t to begin HealthierSG enrollment of 40 -59 age group in November

Over 400,000 residents have enrolled in Singapore’s healthcare reform.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) revealed that they will begin inviting the next eligible group of residents aged 40 to 59 years to enrol in HealthierSG.

As of October, 400,000 residents have enrolled in the healthcare reform. To attract enrolment, MOH will be deploying HealthierSG Ambassadors to more touchpoints in the community from 20 October 2023 to 1 December 2023.

The ambassadors will be fielded in enrolment stations located in Community Centres/Clubs (CCs), Joint Testing and Vaccination Centres (JTVCs) and polyclinics island-wide.

“Residents, especially those without access to a mobile device or who require additional assistance to enrol, have received help easily,” read MOH’s statement.

There will also be roadshows concluding in November to continue community reachouts, where more mobile teams of Healthier SG Ambassadors will be deployed.

“These mobile teams will be mainly deployed at the Active Ageing Centres and selected community-level events to assist residents who may face difficulty with self-enrolment or have queries about Healthier SG,” read the statement.

MOH will also streamline the number of Healthier SG enrolment stations in the CCs and JTVCs.

Starting 20 October 2023, the enrolment stations at all nine JTVCs will be discontinued.

From 1 December 2023, most enrolment stations in CCs will be shuttered, and only 17 CCs with heavier demand will continue to host them. The enrolment stations will continue at all 22 polyclinics.

Residents aged 60 and above, as well as those who are 40 to 59 years old with chronic conditions, had to wait for an SMS invitation from MOH before enrolling in Healthier SG. But now, these two eligible groups can proceed without an SMS invitation to any enrolment station for HealthierSG enrollment.

MOH also expects a high number of enrolees, which is why it encourages those who received an SMS to enrol should do so.
