Global respiratory diagnostics market to be valued at $9.8b by 2030

The global market for respiratory diagnostics, valued at $7.2b in 2023, is projected to reach $9.8b by 2030 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.5%, according to Research and Markets.

The sector’s expansion is attributed to the growing demand for accurate diagnostic tools due to an increase in respiratory diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and lung infections.

Meanwhile, advancements in imaging technologies, including high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), are driving market growth by enhancing disease detection.

This progress also includes portable point-of-care devices that enhance accessibility and ease of testing and molecular diagnostics developments for improved detection of specific pathogens and genetic markers.
