Global intermittent catheters market to grow at 7.25% CAGR by 2028

The hospital segment is expected to drive the sector within the forecast period.

The global market for intermittent catheters is anticipated to grow by $1.22b through 2028 at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of approximately 7.25%, according to Technavio.

The sector’s expansion is attributed to the rising prevalence of urinary diseases, including, urinary tract infections, renal diseases, and tumours.

In addition, government initiatives and reimbursement schemes aimed at supporting the ageing population with disabilities, such as spinal cord injuries, are further boosting demand.

Meanwhile, the market is also being influenced by the expansion of digital catheterisation laboratories in hospitals.

“The hospital segment's growth is driven by the high demand for intermittent catheters, making it a key contributor to the market's growth during the forecast period,” the report said.
