Dubai Health and MBRSC partner in elevating space healthcare

The collaboration includes comprehensive health assessments and training programmes for astronauts.

Dubai Health has signed an agreement with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) to ensure the health and well-being of the centre’s astronauts.

Through the partnership, comprehensive health assessments will be provided for astronauts before mission deployment.

This includes medical examinations, screenings, and evaluations to ensure fitness for space travel.

In addition, MBRSC astronauts will have access to training programmes aimed towards preparing them for health-related protocols and emergencies.

Furthermore, the collaboration will see the integration and exchange of data with healthcare providers for comprehensive astronaut care, whilst both parties work to enhance medical technologies and methodologies related to space healthcare.

“By integrating our efforts with Dubai Health, we are not only enhancing the well-being of our astronauts but also pushing the boundaries of space healthcare and driving innovation in health sciences,” H.E. Salem Humaid AlMarri, Director General of MBRSC, said.
