Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospitals launches eyecare hospital in Mumbai

The 7,500-square-metre facility in Chembur has eight highly qualified doctors.

The tenth Mumbai eye hospital of Dr Agarwals Eye Hospitals was opened to offer a wide range of eye treatment in the city.

In a statement, the 7,500-square-metre Chembur facility is equipped with eight doctors with state-of-the-art technology and three modular operating rooms.

It has procedures such as cataract surgery, retina services, glaucoma services, cornea services, and laser vision correction. Facilities available include an in-house anaesthesia facility, A-scan, IOL Master, Perimetry, Pachymetry, Topography, OCT, Synoptophore, Yag laser, Green laser, computerized dry eye check-up, optical and contact lens, pharmacy and laboratory.

The only eye facility in Mumbai with the daily availability of specialised doctors from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

To date, the group has 20 eyecare hospitals across Mumbai, Nashik, Pune, and Satara.

"This growth is only the tip of the iceberg as we believe Maharashtra can readily accommodate at least 50 more eye hospitals. In the next 12 to 18 months, we will invest Rs 225 crore to add 10 more centres in the cities of Mumbai and Pune," Dr. Adil Agarwal, CEO, Dr Agarwal’s Eye Hospitals.
