Daylesford Hospital upgrades operating theatre with $4.1m funding boost

This also includes improvements to the patient waiting area and sterile stock storage space.

Australia’s Daylesford Hospital has completed its operating theatre renovations through a $4.1m (A$6.14m) grant from the Regional Health Infrastructure Fund (RHIF).

According to Minister for Health Infrastructure, Mary-Anne Thomas, this enhancement aims to support the hospital’s staff and improve patient waiting lists by increasing surgical capacity.

Meanwhile, additional hospital upgrades include an improved patient waiting area, recovery and admission areas, and a sterile stock storage area.

Moreover, ageing patient monitoring systems and equipment in the hospital’s Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) have been replaced.
