China and France eye further health cooperation
China targets collaboration in the areas of hospital infection control and tuberculosis prevention, amongst others.
China has expressed its plan to further health cooperation with France, In a meeting between Cao Xuetao, vice-minister of the National Health Commission (NHC) and Merieux Foundation president, Alain Merieux.
The two leaders have exchanged views on promoting health cooperation between the two countries.
Cao said that China aims to advance its collaboration with the foundation in various areas, including hospital infection control, tuberculosis prevention and treatment, and the rational use of antibiotics.

In addition, the two leaders spoke of the foundation’s cooperation projects in China.
Merieux mentioned that the foundation is willing to continue supporting China in the development of its health undertakings and to deepen health exchanges and cooperation between both countries.
