Burjeel Holdings and Axiom Space ink MoU for space-based medical research
The partnership will study human body reactions in microgravity.
Burjeel Holdings PLC and Axiom Space have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for science research and technology testing in space.
The first project under this partnership will focus on sending a suite of medical technologies to space to study how the human body reacts in microgravity.
These technologies will be operated remotely by astronauts during their training, launch, and Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4), scheduled for next spring.
According to Burjeel, the research will explore how microgravity affects biomarkers, drug quality, and remote healthcare delivery.
The collaboration was announced at the Burjeel Institute for Global Health in New York, attended by Shamsheer Vayalil, Founder and Chairman of Burjeel Holdings, and CEO John Sunil.
