Bangkok Chain Hospital’s net profit set to rise 7% in Q2
Revenue is projected to witness a modest 4% growth amidst weak Kuwaiti patient traffic.
Bangkok Chain Hospital’s (BCH) net profit is projected to rise by 7% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) to approximately $9.6m (THB342m) in the second quarter of the year (Q2 2024).
Strong growth from Myanmar and Cambodia has provided the group with a cushion amidst fewer Kuwaiti patients during the quarter, according to CGS International.
This weakened patient traffic is attributed to the government's ongoing revision of its list of approved hospitals for overseas treatment.
In line with this, the group’s Q2 revenue is projected to see a modest increase of just 4%, supported by social security patient revenue growth.
“Note that revenues from social security patients rose 9% YoY and formed 34% of BCH’s revenues in Q1,” the report said.
