Avisena Healthcare launches major expansion project

The expansion project includes adding 275 beds and 10 operating theatres to the facility.

Avisena Specialist Hospital broke ground for its new facility in Shah Alam, Selangor, on June 10.

The expansion project includes adding 275 beds, 83 specialist suites, 10 operating theatres, a 20-bed one-stop daycare centre, and 37 private rooms in the Critical Care Unit (CCU). These additions aim to bolster healthcare infrastructure and meet growing patient needs across the country.

Additionally, Avisena's also highlighted its commitment to community health with a CSR contribution to the National Cancer Society.

'I am confident with these efforts, we are able to help realise the government's target to increase the number of patient beds throughout the country with a ratio of 2.06 beds per 1,000 inhabitants,” said  Elina Nadia Omar, group CEO of Avisena, at the groundbreaking ceremony.

The event was also attended by Heakth Minister YB Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad.
