Australia to unveil new Shellharbour Hospital in NSW

The facility is set to include an expanded emergency department and renal dialysis services.

The Australian government is set to establish a new hospital in New South Wales (NSW) as part of the $521m (A$780m) new Shellharbour Hospital and Integrated Services project.

With construction works slated for completion by 2027, the upcoming facility will feature an expanded emergency department, increased surgical capacity, renal dialysis, and rehabilitation and aged care services.

Moreover, the hospital is being designed to enable the construction of a future rooftop helipad.

Meanwhile, a main contractor has been appointed, following the recent approval of the State Significant Development Application (SSDA), with construction work expected to begin shortly.
