Australia invests $369m in Fairfield Hospital redevelopment

The project’s full scope will be finalised during the planning and design phase.

The Australian government has announced an investment of approximately $369m (A$550m) for the upgrade and expansion of Fairfield Hospital in New South Wales (NSW).

According to Health Minister Ryan Park, the redevelopment will include sustainable, purpose-built health facilities to accommodate Sydney’s south-west community.

The scope of the project will be finalised during the planning and design phase, with construction timeframes to be confirmed once a builder is engaged.

Meanwhile, a lead design team has been appointed and will collaborate with Health Infrastructure and the South Western Sydney Local Health District to identify future service requirements and begin early site planning.
