Australia to build $464m Rouse Hill Hospital in north-west Sydney

The facility includes an urgent care centre and a day surgery unit.

The Australian government is set to establish the new $464m (A$700m) Rouse Hill Hospital in the north-western area of Sydney.

The upcoming hospital is expected to include an urgent care centre, a day surgery unit, and short-stay medical assessment services.

The facility will also offer services in the fields of pathology, medical imaging, outpatient and ambulatory care, virtual care, prehabilitation, rehabilitation, and lifestyle medicine.

Meanwhile, its full scope of health services will be confirmed once the planning and design for the new hospital are finalised.

Construction timeframes will be revealed as planning progresses and following the appointment of a building contractor.
