Asia Pacific set for rapid growth in menstrual health apps
It is driven by rising smartphone use in countries like China, India, and Japan.
The Asia Pacific region is projected to be the fastest-growing market for menstrual health apps from 2024 to 2033, according to Exactitude Consultancy.
The report said that the surge in smartphone usage in developing countries, including China, India, and Japan, is creating a robust environment for these digital health solutions.
This trend is further fueled by a significant rise in internet users, particularly in rural areas, making menstrual health apps increasingly popular.
“Digital engagement in the market is soaring high, enhanced by growing investments to promote women-oriented health and wellness campaigns, which may further contribute toward market progress,” the report added.
In January, India had about 751.5 million internet users, with 63.4% from rural regions, indicating a strong potential market for health applications.
Meanwhile, the global menstrual health apps market was valued at $1.87b in 2023 and is expected to reach $1.91b in 2024, with projections of around $9.37b by 2033.
The growth represents a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 19.67%, fueled by increasing health awareness amongst women, especially in developing countries.
