Apollo Hospitals integrates digital health tool in cardiovascular risk tool

This allows the tools to provide health assessments continuously at home.

India-based Apollo Hospitals is integrating its cardiovascular risk tool AICVD with a digital health tool to offer near real-time, continuous, longitudinal wellness and health data and provide continuous and dynamic, the healthcare operator said in a press release.

Apollo Hospitals’ collaboration ConnectedLife, a Singapore-based company that partners with Fitbit to provide users with health and wellness insights, seeks to integrate their technologies to provide real-time data on the users’ health data such as breathing rate, heart rate, exercise, sedentary time and sleep.

By transforming the process of health assessment from being done point-in-time to continuous and dynamic in a home setting, the hospital operator seeks to give healthcare providers the tools to predict the risk of cardiac disease in their patients and initiate early intervention, Apollo said.

This allows physicians to design and provide a patient with a personal care plan and digitally monitor patient compliance and objectively measure progression, with recommended lifestyle modifications and improvement in wellness and health vitals to reduce the risk of cardiac disease, the hospital operator added.
