Abu Dhabi unveils new initiative to transform healthcare and improve health and well-being

The initiative will outline global principles covering transparency, accountability, and bias mitigation.

Abu Dhabi has unveiled a Declaration of Principles on Bioconvergence focused on transforming healthcare and improving health and well-being.

The initiative, led by the Department of Health (DoH), will outline global principles covering guidance on transparency, accountability, and bias mitigation.

Moreover, the principles are segmented into six strategic pillars and aim to advance bioconversion research and development, establish international cooperation frameworks, and promote the adoption of advanced technologies.

“In the intricate of Bioconvergence, establishing fundamental principles is not merely a choice, but a collective responsibility,” Executive Director of the Research and Innovation Centre at the DoH – Abu Dhabi, Asma Ibrahim Al Mannaei, said.

“These principles serve as a beacon of transparency, guardians of accountability and shields against any form of bias,” Al Mannaei added.
