$4.7m Cohuna District Hospital theatre upgrade to start in October

The project is expected to be completed by August 2025.

The $4.7m (A$6.9m) upgrade of Australia’s Cohuna District Hospital is set to begin in October, with a focus on constructing a new theatre complex.

The project will fund new post-anaesthesia care unit (PACU) beds and facilities, along with improved fire safety and a water filtration system, to upgrade the hospital’s existing operating theatre suite and central sterile services department.

The project, overseen by the Victorian Health Building Authority in partnership with Cohuna District Hospital, is expected to be completed by August 2025.
