$35.7m Gunnedah Hospital Redevelopment progresses with major concrete pour

Its construction is expected to be completed in late 2025.

The $35.7m (A$53m) Gunnedah Hospital redevelopment in Australia has progressed with the first major concrete pour for the new acute services building.

This building will include an expanded emergency department, along with modern birthing, maternity, and inpatient units aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery and supporting contemporary care models.

Meanwhile, current construction includes the demolition of the former maternity wing, alongside earthworks and piling for the early childhood education centre. A mobile tower crane will be brought on-site to assist with the ongoing activities in the coming weeks.

The project is expected to be completed by late 2025 and is being carried out by Health Infrastructure in partnership with the Hunter New England Local Health District.
