IHH Healthcare acquires Prince Court Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur

It became the 16th hospital under the group in Malaysia.

IHH Healthcare has acquired a full stake in Prince Court Medical Centre for $250m via its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary Pantai Hospital Sdn Bhd, the group said in a press release. With this acquisition, IHH Healthcare becomes the owner of 16 hospitals in Malaysia.

Prince Court Medical Centre is a 277 single-bed private healthcare facility located within the ‘golden triangle’ business district of Kuala Lumpur. It offers a wide range of medical, surgical and hospital services including burns management, oncology, gastroenterology, interventional cardiology, nephrology, orthopaedics, rehabilitation medicine, in vitro fertilisation and occupational health.

The acquisition will “complement IHH’s cluster strategy of having specialised tertiary hospitals in Kuala Lumpur”, commented Jean-Francois Naa, CEO of Malaysia operations division.

The group also said that it will work closely with the hospital to leverage operation synergies and will look into investment options.
