Saigon Eyes Hospital wins Specialty Hospital of the Year in Healthcare Asia Awards

Vietnam’s largest private eye hospital chain was recognised for its impressive performance.

Established in 2004, Saigon Eyes Hospital is currently known as Vietnam's largest ophthalmology hospital chain. It operates ten hospitals and three clinics, with a presence in over 10 provinces in Vietnam.

After 19 years of establishment and development, it has a roster of over 500 doctors and medical staff with good expertise and experience. All hospitals come with modern facilities and medical equipment imported directly from the US and Europe. Committed to wholeheartedly caring for eyes for the community, the Saigon Eyes Hospital brand has become a trusted choice of not only Vietnamese families across the country but also foreign patients.

It covers various services, with a primary focus on specialities such as refractive surgery, cataract surgery, corneal-fundus-retina surgery, and eye plastic surgery. This includes high-quality care examination and treatment services. Comprehensive eye health check-ups are also done for people of all ages, covering children, adults, and the elderly.

The hospital tallied that it has treated over 3.4 million patients and carried out more than 600,000 successful eye surgeries, restoring healthy vision to patients. In 2022, the Saigon Eyes Hospital chain examined 350,000 patients, which is a 67% year-over-year growth. It also logs successfully operating whilst also building trust amongst 55,000 patients, amounting to a 108% year-over-year growth.

With its mission of "Better vision for a better life,” Saigon Eyes Hospital also provides many educational programs to raise community awareness in protecting the health of the eyes.

It has released various Podcasts for Healthy Eyes, Livestream for Eyes Care on Facebook and Tik Tok, offline talk shows and CSR for children, religious organisations, and other groups. The goal is to reach a wide number of patients remotely, and for the information to reach anyone through the comfort of their mobile phones.

For its multiple achievements, Saigon Eyes Hospital received the Specialty Hospital of the Year – Vietnam award in the recently concluded Healthcare Asia Awards.

This year, with its theme of Recognising Trailblazing Initiatives in the Healthcare Sector, the annual awards programme aims to honour hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare providers that have risen above the challenges and made a remarkable impact on their patients, most especially amidst the massive disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Saigon Eyes Hospital believes that its efforts, dedication, and effectiveness of treatment in the journey to bring healthy eyes to the community have added great value to its services. In turn, the hospital sees that this brings more trust and comfort to their patients.

The impressive increase in patient numbers in 2023 demonstrates the community's love and trust in the Saigon Eyes Hospital brand. This also confirms that Saigon Eyes Hospital continues to be one of the top choices of patients throughout many regions of Vietnam.
