Qatar Care wins Healthcare Asia Awards 2024 for Home Care and Employee Engagement Initiatives

Its initiatives showcase adaptability, resilience, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Home healthcare services company -Qatar Care has been recognised as the recipient of the Home-care Initiative of the Year - Qatar and the Employee Engagement of the Year - Qatar category at the recently held Healthcare Asia Awards 2024 for the significant strides it has made that have hugely impacted the community.

Qatar Care stands out for being Qatar's first home care service provider, marking a milestone showcasing its deep understanding of local healthcare needs. Additionally, its strategic affiliations with Planetree International, Accreditation Canada International and its partnership with the Daisy Foundation underscore its global collaboration and commitment to person-centred care models.

Through tailored initiatives in elderly care, baby and paediatric care, physiotherapy, wound dressing, and specialised care for patients with unique needs, the organisation has also become an integral part of the healthcare ecosystem. Elderly individuals experience dignified ageing, children receive specialised care, and patients with special needs benefit from personalised healthcare support within the comfort of their homes.

“Qatar Care has alleviated the burden on traditional healthcare facilities, contributing to a more person-centred approach to healthcare. The organisation's role in enhancing the overall well-being and resilience of the Qatari community cannot be overstated,” the company said.

Meanwhile, the company’s approach to employee engagement comprises a set of comprehensive initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of its diverse workforce. These initiatives include an annual sports fest, themed parties, a unit-based council wellness programme, in-house educational training programmes, staff recognition programmes, and participation in healthcare awareness campaigns.

“These initiatives are characterised by their commitment to inclusivity, a celebration of cultural diversity, and acknowledgement of the interconnected nature of various programmes within the organisation, establishing equity for all.” Qatar Care said.

Qatar Care’s holistic perspective ensures that employee engagement is not merely a collection of isolated activities but a unified and integrated set of initiatives. It not only recognises the diverse needs of the workforce, but also ensures that each initiative contributes synergistically to cultivate a motivated, interconnected, and engaged workforce.
